Good Faith and Truthful Ignorance: A Case of Transatlantic Bigamy - 8/10

How this managed to capture and hold my attention is wholly beyond me, but it was not half bad.

WarCraft: The Last Guardian - 5/5

This was just an awesome book, I just couldn't let it be after I started to read it.

The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong - 8/10

A fantasy kind of book, but found out at the end that it was a first of three books. *need to read the rest of it* It is easy to read and I keep wondering about how everything would fit. Which I still don't know, because it's only the first book.

Wolf At The Table by Augusten Burroughs - 10/10

Burroughs has this way with words that just keeps me hooked everytime. Though it was a little hard to read in places due to the subject matter it was beautiful and haunting.

Dracula: The Undead by Dacre Stoker - 8/10

Due to critic's reviews, I honestly thought I was going to be let down, but I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I'm still on the fence about the ending, but overall, it was a great book; but that is just my opinion.

Storm of Steel - Ernst Junger - 9/10

I expected it to be dreadfully boring from others' reviews, but it was like reading one incredibly long (and incredibly well-written) RPG post. It was a good read with little twists of humor thrown in there at just the right moments.

The three books I finished / read while on holidays.
The Day Watch - Sergei Lukyanenko - 6/10

Not written from Anton's POV First two stories dragged out a bit - but as with the first book they were needed to set the stage. Once more a "Watch" instalment came together like a puzzle with several layers. Still very much worth reading though.

The Twilight Watch - Sergei Lukyanenko - 9.5/10

Damn! Awesome stuff. Once more from Anton's perspective and much as the first two a puzzle coming together on a multi-layer scale. Reaches rather epic proportions in the end! Was totally blown away.

Touch The Dawn - A Cassie Palmer Novel - Karen Chance - 9/10

I had no clue what to expect! And I stayed away from any kind of spoiler or too lengthy content description. I was pleasantly surprised by a well written, first-person perspective plot driven novel. Been wondering how Cassie hasnt become a nut case concerning the things she's gone through - but it works. Really nice one, quick read and fast-paced story. Thanks for the req, Ellen

Excuse the double post but I finished another one today:

The Lost Symbol - Dan Brown - 6.5/10

It wasn't bad but not what I expected. The story became somewhat predictable by the third time he wrote it (you have to admit all 3 Langdon books work by the same concept / idea). Only one twist I didn't see coming (if you read it, sure you'll know which one I mean). The ending was way too long and went a little too "World peace!" for my taste. I did enjoy it, but I am not sure I'd actually recommend it to anyone (while I would Day Watch, which I gave a lower rating. Yeah odd, I know)

Inkspell - Cornelia Funke - 10/10

I love these books so far. I wasn't sure I'd like them, but they definitely have kept me entertained enough to get up a three in the morning (because I can't go back to sleep because I'm thinking about what happens next too much) and go out in the living room to read more. That's probably bad to admit. I can't wait to start the third one tomorrow!
